Eddie Cochran was born this day in 1938

Eddie Cochran was born this day in 1938 in Albert Lea, MN.  He was tragically killed in a car accident in England at the young age of 21.  His music legacy will continue to live on though.  "Summertime Blues", "Twenty Flight Rock", "Somethin' Else", "C'mon Everybody" and so many more hold a firm place in the foundation of Rock & Roll.  Here's some of his classics along with covers by others as well...

Robert Plant Live From The Artists Den

On July 10th, Robert Plant will be releasing a DVD and Blu-Ray of a show recorded live in Nashville, TN for the "Live From The Artists Den" series.  Plant and his Band Of Joy performed 2 nights at the historic War Memorial in Nashville in early February, 2011.  The night this was recorded also marked a big snow storm that shut down much of the city.  Still, a big crowd braved the elements to come out for this amazing show!  If you attended either night, you already know how special the evenings were.  Pre-order a copy today!

Everly Brothers vs. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. You decide!

The Everly Brothers released "Gone Gone Gone" to radio in 1964 and the album containing this single in early 1965.  Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' cover was the debut single from their duo project Raising Sand released in 2007.
