The Coasters' "Charlie Brown" is banned from the BBC this day in 1959

The BBC banned The Coasters' "Charlie Brown" because of it's reference to "throwing spitballs".  They changed their position on the song 2 weeks later due to listener protests.  Times have changed!!  Here's this classic track-
