Charles Brown born this day in 1922


Blues piano great Charles Brown was born this day in 1922.  His soft-toned slow blues became his trademark on such hits as "Driftin' Blues" and Christmas classics "Merry Christmas Baby" and "Please Come Home For Christmas" which have both been covered by artists like Chuck Berry, Eagles, Harry Connick Jr., B.B.
